Do my clients need to create an account to upload documents?
No. Clients open their upload portal from a secure link. There is no account and no password to manage. The less effort it takes them, the faster you get what you need.
What counts as an “active client”?
An active client is someone with an open document request right now. Completed and archived clients don't count toward your limit, and there is no cap on the total number of clients in your account.
Can I have more clients than my plan's limit?
Yes. The limit only applies to clients with an open request at the same time. A bookkeeper with 150 clients who is actively collecting from 10 of them this month only uses 10 of their 15 Starter slots. If a busy season needs more room, upgrading takes one click.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Every file is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest with AES-256, and access is limited to you and the people you invite.
Where is my data stored?
In Canada. CoyaDocs runs on AWS Canada (Central) in Montreal, and your documents never leave Canadian infrastructure. Firms with privacy obligations under PIPEDA can answer the residency question with confidence.
What currency are prices in?
US dollars. At checkout you'll be able to pay in your local currency, including Canadian dollars, and you'll see the exact local price before you confirm anything.
Can multiple people contribute to the same document request?
Yes, on Professional and Business plans. Multi-contributor lists are ideal when several parties each need to submit their own documents, like an applicant and an employer. Each person gets their own focused portal.
Is there a free trial?

Can I change or cancel my plan anytime?
Absolutely. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel whenever you like. Annual plans are billed once a year and save just over 20% compared to paying monthly.
